Information:

This list is for native 64-bit applications. Not to be confused with 32-bit applications that run in a 64-bit OS. Only free software is listed here.

GIMP:

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html

Paint.NET:
Enhanced paint program

http://www.getpaint.net/

Please feel free to add onto this list.

Sorry for the double post.

I realized the first post was a 'lazy' question, for my defense I did 'search' but, found so many it was daunting.
Never did find what I was looking for, some help with the basics software operation. Yes, I know, search some more......

Here's a few that I found. Comments or additions?

GIMP tutorials
Gimp Basics
Wilber's Wiki Gimp Tutorials

Wilber’s Gimp tutorials basic and have to know techniques

How to’s
From the Gimp site Gimp tuts for beginner, intermediate, expert…

gimp-tutorials

soft tuts

tutorials 947 tuts

Nicu's How-to

gimp Tutorials

Gimp Talk tutorials and tips

To be honest I haven't looked too closely at these sites, yet.
I would like to find a basic program operations tut site for those little things that are holding me up. I'm getting most of them as I have played with graphics before just not with Gimp or Photo Shop. Embarassed

Mods, Please move this if it is in the wrong place.

I guess the first question should be, Do you want a beginner area in your forum?
If you do, then after you get a few of the other hundred things done, we could set up a place for it.

Thanks to all for any feedback,

I think, in time, we will add to the tutorials so that would be the place for "beginners" to learn and post questions etc
